The website design and maintenance training was conducted from 24 July to 7 August 2006 (total of 88 hours) by Cyberia Co., Ltd as part of the development of the Healthy Living Website of Lao PDR supported by World Bank’s Water and Sanitation Program – East Asia and Pacific (WSP-EAP).

The main objective of this training was to train Nam Saat Central staff (website administration team) so that they are able to update and manage the contents of the Healthy Living Website of Lao PDR (http://www.health.gov.la) after it has been launched.

There were 7 participants for this training of which 5 were from different divisions within Nam Saat Central and the rest from WSP-EAP Lao Country Office.
The contents of the training consisted of concepts of the Internet, website design and development process, Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), using image editing software such as Macromedia Fireworks and Adobe Photoshop, creating Flash animations, using web authoring software such as Macromedia Dreamweaver, managing a content management system, and web marketing for website sustainability purposes.

After the training, it is believed that the trainees are competent to perform technical tasks relating to the maintaining the Healthy Living Website of Lao PDR.
